Sharon K. Myers (Duncan) – age 71 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She is no longer in pain and now safe in the arms of Jesus. Long-time member of Kim Watt Baptist Church. Sharon was retired from Allied Signal after 30 years of service.
Sharon was preceded in death and is now joining her mom and dad, William and Ruth (Burgin) Duncan; brothers, William O. Duncan and Alvin Duncan; and sisters, Imogene Moss and Betty Sue Mingie.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Myers; sons, Tony (Amy), Marty (Debbie) and Steven; daughter, Jamie (Billy) Strawbridge; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy (Doris) Duncan; sister, Karen (Gene) Wilson; sisters-in-law, Barbara Duncan and Mae Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews and a very loving church family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2018, at Bridges Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Paul Carter officiating. Music will be provided by her “sisters in Christ”, Tina Gibbs and Pat Cox. Family and friends will meet 12:15 PM Tuesday at Edgewood Cemetery for an 12:30 PM interment.
