GRANT, JEANETTE M., of Smoke Rise in Blount Co., passed away July 14, 2007 at the age of 92. She was a member of Fultondale Church of Christ and was also a member of Skyline Drive Church of Christ. A native of North Birmingham and a former resident of Fultondale, Mrs. Grant was past President of the Fultondale PTA and was an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grant; and great-granddaughter, Casey Marie Grant.
Mrs. Grant is survived by her sons, Johnny Grant (Linda) of Pinson, Melvin Grant (Linda) of Mt. Olive, James Grant (Patsy) of Smoke Rise and Robert Grant (Janie) of Smoke Rise; daughter, Donna Montgomery (Wayne) of Niceville, Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at eleven o'clock at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bill Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, July 15, 2007 from five thirty until eight o'clock in the evening. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanette Grant's memory to Casey's Cause, P.O. Box 1305, Trussville, AL 35173. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 205-631-6252 directing.
