Benjamin Derek Wallace, age 45, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, November 2, 2018 at his home in Albertson, NC.
Born October 26, 1973 in Duplin County, NC, Benji was the son of the late Bobby Wallace and Edwina Thomas Davenport. He served his community honorably as a NC Highway Patrol Trooper and was currently assigned to Troop B as "B447" in Duplin County, NC.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, 2:00 PM at Duplin County Events Center, Kenansville, NC and were followed by Visitation.
A private burial was held on Monday, November 5, 2018 in the Wallace Family Cemetery.
Survivors include his Fiance, Jessi Spearman of Albertson, NC, his son, Derrick Wallace of Albertson, NC, sisters; Joy Pickett (Johnny) of Beulaville, NC and Misty Wallace (Gary Quinn) of Potters Hill, NC, several extended family members and his law enforcement family.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial gifts may be made to NC State Employees' Credit Union, 188 S. Magnolia Ext. Kenansville, NC 28349 in the memory of Benjamin Derek Wallace.
Community Funeral Home of Beulaville, NC served the family along with the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
