Minnie E. Redden was born on 21 February 1868 in Stricklett, Lewis Co., Kentucky, daughter of Joseph D. Redden and Permelia Amelia Kissick. She was married to Alfred Allen Ackley, a funeral director who was born on 19 November 1866 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Smith Ackley and Emily Hammond. They moved to Portsmouth, Scioto Co., Ohio, about 1923. Alfred died in Portsmouth from a cerebral hemorrhage on 11 October 1940. Minnie died from coronary sclerosis on 19 August 1947 in Portsmouth and was buried next to Alfred in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Alfred and Minnie had the following known children: Effie, James Orville, Smith W., and Carl Chester.
