Dorane loved her family and her rural community. She enjoyed working on their turkey farm and gardening. Dorane was a faithful member of the Tuscumbia Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, Harold, she is also survived by one son, Mike Pendleton and wife Lynn of Tuscumbia; daughter, Diana Pendleton of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Brett Pendleton and wife Chelsea of St. Elizabeth and Bart Pendleton and wife Chelsea of Ulman; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Pendleton and Bennett Pendleton; and one sister, Joyce Connell and husband Leroy.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Ahart and Bill Ahart; and four sisters, Edith, Betty, Rayma, and Naomi.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, November 6, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Bill Vernon officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia.
