He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran. He was united in marriage with the former Jennie Bonacci on March 31, 1947 in Detroit, and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2012. The couple moved from Detroit to Caro in 2003 via Las Vegas. He was employed as a truck driver for Central Transport. He was a member of the Catholic faith and a former member of the Caro Knights of Columbus Council #3224.
Louis is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Harrah and her husband, Roger, of Caro; and their five children; and Louis’ three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Chris Stevens; grandson, Scott Ludeman; and two sisters, Margaret Pridnia and Ann Enor.
In keeping with Louis’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
