Doris Carlene (Arnold) Frazier of Lawrence, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at the age of 96.

Born April 19, 1922 in Putnam County, Doris grew up in Fillmore.

She was an avid quilter and exceptional seamstress. She won many ribbons at the Indiana State Fair and Marion County Fair for her clothing and quilts, winning a first-place ribbon at the Indiana State Fair for a Redwork quilt in 2002.

She was a longtime member of the Common Threads Quilt Club of Hancock County. For 17 years she worked in various fabric stores (most recently JoAnne Fabrics) in the Indianapolis area.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Frazier; parents Carl and Mae (Jackson) Arnold; sisters Jean (Arnold) Griffin and Marjorie (Arnold) Siddons; and son Dan Frazier and his wife, Barbara Frazier.

Doris is survived by sons Denton (Tina) Frazier and Derek (Mary) Frazier, and daughter Darcy (Doug) Anderson. Doris had four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends and family may visit Sunday, Nov. 4 from 1-5 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services - Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46226. Visitation will be from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5 with funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
