Shirley Elaine Hensley: nee McGibben, Cadillac, MI, 69, passed October 16, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.
On April 9, 1965, Shirley married the love of her life Furlie Hensley they celebrated 48 years of marriage. Shirley and Furlie had many family bbq’s with games of horseshoes and Conway Twitty country music playing.
Shirley will be remembered by her family and friends for her devotion to her children and grandchildren, her silly sense of humor, her sweet tooth enjoying a cold Coke, her competitive spirit and love of games (unless Furlie was “cheating”), and her unmatched kindness and love for others.
Every Monday night you could find Shirley watching W.W.E. Wrestling. She had a passion for collecting especially Coke memorabilia. Shirley was a selfless person always willing to help those in need.
She will be sincerely missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing her path. She was the best Mom, Mamaw, and Aunt you could ask for.

She is survived by her children Tonya Morris, Joyce Stevens and Patty (Len) Hoover, Furlie (Heather) Jr. and Anthony (Courtney) Hensley; 15 grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Furlie Sr., sister Mary Shelton, parents Mildred (Spragen) and Larry Charles McGibben; mother and father in law Sissy and Wallace Hensley, brother in law Noble.
Funeral service 1:00PM October 21 at Mt Era Church, Brownsrun Road Chapmanville, WV with Rev. Homer Hensley officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow the funeral at Bryant Cemetery.
A memorial service is planned for November 3 at 4pm at Life House Assembly of God with Rev. Christina Bayer officiating with a dinner following the service.
