Edward Allen Bryant, 74, of Dunkirk passed away in the Hardin Memorial Hospital ER on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was born on February 25, 1944 in Huntington, Indiana. He is survived by a daughter, Kandi (Kelly) Rettig of rural Ada; a son, Rusty Bryant of Dunkirk; three grandsons, Trent Bryant; Johnathan Rettig and Josh (Autumn) Clements; a great-grandson, Owen; and two brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Rice and Earl (Betty) Rice, both of Dunkirk. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Verbena and Clarence "Red" Rice; his father, Edward Bryant, Sr.; and two sisters, Anna Rose Nickell and Margaret Cahall. Eddie was a graduate of Hardin-Northern High School (1962), a veteran of the US Army, and retired from Triumph Thermal Systems, Inc. He was a member of the VFW, AMVETS, and Moose. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, and flea markets. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, the 2018 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington with Pastor Dave Shaffer officating. Burial will follow in Dunkirk Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital. The family would like to request the wearing of casual attire to the services.
