Lou Ella Anderson peacefully passed away on September 23, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Lou Ella Recer Anderson, also known as Mamalou or Mammoo, was born to Will and Nan Recer, in Climax, Texas on April 24, 1922.

Lou was a graduate of Farmersville High School. She met the love of her life, J.C. Anderson, during the winter of 1938 and later married him.

During her forties, Lou worked in the administrative department at John Adams Middle School, in Grand Prairie, Texas. She titled many roles such as teacher's aid, office assistant and later served as a "lunch lady" at Grand Prairie High School. It was during these years that "Lou" became the peoples "Mama Lou." According to close friends and family, Lou was the world's best cook with mouth-watering dishes such as fried salmon patties, black berry cobbler, roast and her famous fried okra.

She is preceded in death by her husband J.C. Anderson; son, J.C. "Jack" Anderson Jr; and grandson, Barrett Wayne Johnson.
