Robert Lewis “R.L.” Seay, of Blue Ridge, Va. passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was born on November 19, 1950 in Roanoke, Va.

R.L. was an avid reader, a talented gunsmith, and an outdoorsman; he especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of many groups including the Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He graduated from Northside High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Bradley Seay and Martha Moffett Seay. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Ann W. Seay; his brother Donald B. Seay and wife, Rebecca; his sister, Laura A. Seay; niece, Amanda Luck and husband, Tyler; niece, Kaitlyn Daugherty and great-nephew, Aiden.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. at Oakey’s East Chapel on Saturday, November 3, 2018 with a memorial service to follow immediately.

In lieu of flowers, R.L. requested that donations be made to the National Rifle Association.
