Elaine is survived by her daughter, Norene (Ron) Schlueter of Brooklyn Park; sons, Bruce Blank of New Ulm, Kevin (Joan) Blank, Brent (Bev) Blank all of Nicollet; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; sisters, Marlys Wise of Laporte, Shirley Anklam of Mankato, Marilyn (Don) Zabel of Belle Plaine, Lila Martin of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Myron (Ruth) Werner of Norwood-Young America, Darrell (Judy) Werner of Remer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Vernon Blank.
Elaine Eleanora Werner was born on March 18, 1930 in New Ulm to Gilbert and Eleanora (Schroeder) Werner. She graduated fron Nicollet High School in 1948. On June 24, 1948 she was united in marriage to Vernon Blank at the Evangelical United Brethren in Nicollet. Elaine worked five and one half years as a Nurses Aid at the Immanuel Hospital in Mankato. She then worked at Onan in St. Peter for thirty years. Elaine enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Lake Vermont, quilting, knitting, sewing, gardening, cooking, baking, watching sports, reading, traveling, wintering in Arizona and Texas, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm.
