Evangelist Anita L. Thomas was the born November 12, 1949, to Harry Cecil Dunn Sr and Louise Clements Dunn. She was the oldest girl of nine siblings but she was definitely the boss. Anita attended Crispus Atticus High School, and earned her LPN degree from Ivy Tech in 1980. Anita also attended Aenon Bible College where she received an Associates Degree in Theology. Evang. Anita L. Thomas attended Grace Apostolic Church and received the baptism in Jesus Name and the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1978. In 1988, Anita met the love of her life Arthur Thomas and together they raised her children Martia, Paul Jr. and Latise. Evangelist Anita L. Thomas along with Pastor Charles Sheppard began a work for the Lord co-pastoring A More Excellent Way Church from 1994-2004. Although they were a small congregation many souls were saved and several ministers were mentored though this ministry. Anita had a special love for children was a surrogate to many sons and daughters in the Lord. Outreach was Anita's passion. From the Women's prison to homeless shelter, Anita didn't care where you came from she was compelled to tell anyone and everyone about a Savior named Jesus! Evangelist Anita L. Thomas, was most recently a member of Turning Point Family Worship Center where she was actively involved in several ministries including: All About Souls, Nursing Home, Prison Ministry, Choir, Locked 4 Life MarriageMinistry, Nurses Guild, Christian Education, TP Youth Dept, TM Youth Camp, Adults 50+, Women's Ministry, TP Schools, Evangelism, Christian Greeters, Community of Scholars, and Connect Point. Evangelist Anita l. Thomas was truly a soldier and preacher of the Gospel. Even in her last days, her hospital room became her pulpit. You may have thought you were coming to pray for her but she prayed, prophesied and witnessed to anyone that came through the doors including doctors, nurses and technicians. She will surely be missed by all. Evang. Anita L. Thomas is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Harry Dunn Jr. and Jerry Dunn. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Arthur, daughters Martia (Dennis), Latise, only son Paul Carter jr. (Lori). Siblings: Carmen Dunn, Xaiver Dunn, Karen Dunn, Pierre Dunn Sr., Sherri Dunn-Lanier, Crimsetta Dunn, Renee Dunn, 8 grandchildren, 16 great­grandchildren, and a host of niece, nephews and cousins.
