Dr. Albrecht, who taught Systematic Theology, was born Dec. 10, 1885 in Lebanon, Wis.
Following his graduation from Concordia College, Milwaukee and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, he served as pastor of Lutheran Congragations in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada; Hubbell, Mich.; Neshkorn [sp?] and Shawano, Wis.
In 1956, he was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity by the Lutheran Seminary in Adelaide, Australia.
His honorary degree was given him in special recognition for his translation into English of three volumes of Christian Dogmatics written by Frances Pieper.
Surviving are his wife, Julia; one son, Walter M., of Milwaukee, Wis.; three daughters, Mrs. Hulda Goergen, and Mrs. Milton Eggert, both of Shawano, Wis.; and Mrs. Reuben Kelto, of Dayton, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Adolph Klug, of Rapid City, S.D.; Mrs. William Lochner, Mrs. Christ Kuntz and Miss Dorothy Albrecht, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; and 12 grandchildren.
Services were at the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
