Randy Lynn Smith, 62, of Texarkana, AR, finished his earthly race on Monday, October 29, 2018, in Texarkana, TX. He was born March 24, 1956, in Gurdon, AR, to James Henry and Ruby Mae Griffin Smith, who preceded him in death, as well as by a brother, Buddy Smith and a sister, Lessie Whitworth.

He was a faithful servant of the Lord, and was an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God, currently serving as the lead pastor of Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church of God. Previously, he pastored churches in Stuttgart, Humnoke, and North Little Rock. He has served as Presbyter, District Board member, and Sectional Youth Leader over the years. He was a graduate of Gurdon High School, and was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.

He is survived by the love of his life of 41 years, Cathy Rascoe Smith; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jackie Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Douglas and Barbara Smith; three sisters, Betty Jones, Vicky Beard, and Barbara Myers; and five grandchildren whom he adored, Amber Smith, Breydan Smith, Cheyanne Smith, David Smith, and Ethan Smith. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 2, 2018, at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church of God, Texarkana, AR, with the Revs. John Parish, Phil Redding, and Don Brankel officiating. A graveside service will be at 3:30 P.M. at Rose Hedge Cemetery, Gurdon, AR.
