Roy Jack Haynes, 87, of South Charleston, passed away on June 26, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House.

Jack retired from Bell Atlantic with 38 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and attended Dunbar Baptist Church. He loved traveling especially to Myrtle Beach and the mountains. He loved living life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, H. Vernice Haynes; parents, Ernest and Bunia Haynes; brother, Fred Haynes.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Jane (James) Glaspell of Cross Lanes; granddaughters, Kristi (Ricky) Workman of Dunbar and Kelli (Phil) Haynes of South Charleston; niece, Kimberly (Steve) Walker of Cross Lanes and a very special and loved friend, Rahma Clonch.

A Service to Honor the Life of Jack will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston. Entombment will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Family and Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
