Mr. Foster was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U. S. Navy and the owner of Advance Manufacturing. He enjoyed fishing, cars, loved to teach the Bible, and was a member of RUA Church of God.
Survivors include his children, Stephen Foster, Mark S. Foster (Cheri) and Cherie Lanzetti, all of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Mark Christian Foster, Elise Wallace (Chris), Elena Lanzetti, Eliah Lanzetti, Danielle Foster, Chloe Foster, and Judy Foster; great-granddaughter, Raine Brielle Hope Davis; brother, Sam Foster; sisters, Kay Ringer (Marion) and Theresa Foster; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Darryl Foster; and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Kay Foster.
Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, November 2, 2018, at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306, with services following at 2:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by The Rev. Mark S. Foster and The Rev. Jeffrey W. Blackwood. Burial, with military rites, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
