Bob was born September 4, 1928 in South Portland, Maine to Willard W. Spear and Isabella M. Spear.
He was honorably discharged after 26 years of service on June 30, 1974. He worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding and Isle of Capri Casino. He enjoyed bowling, boating, keeping up his yard (like a carpet), was a Red Sox and New Orleans Saints fan. Who Dat!
He is preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Johnathan; and brothers, Billy, Buddy, and Donald; son-in-law, Barry McTaggart.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Spear; children, Bob Spear, Jo-Ann Spear McTaggart, and Rick Spear; grandchildren, Royce, Randyn, Chris, Barry, Erin, Matt, Ryan, and Rebecca; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Ginny Dougha.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with a service at 10:00 a.m., all at St. John's Episcopal Church.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
