Obituary for Catherine Reynolds (Capone)

Catherine Reynolds, 94, of Brick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in her home.
Catherine was born on September 26, 1924 and raised in Roselle Park, in the home of her grandfather, Fiorindo Capone. When she graduated from high school she went to work at Bell Telephone in Elizabeth as a long distance operator.
After WWII, she married Paul Reynolds, the high school classmate that she followed to the library during study period. Together with her sister Ann, they bought a two-family home in Garwood. There, they worked and raised their children.
In 1993, Catherine and her husband retired to Brick, where they enjoyed their years in the Greenbriar Community. There was much time spent with friends and family. She had lifelong good fortune and frequent trips to Atlantic City that yielded many wins. Her biggest win came at the Borgata in 2016.
Catherine’s husband, Paul died in 2009. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Ann White and Eileen Cunha and a nephew, Allen Cunha. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Gaume; and her sons, Richard, Paul and Mike Reynolds. Also surviving are a niece, Patty Perry; nephews, Eddie Thomson, Gary Cunha, and Ron Cunha; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit and remember Catherine on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:30am to 12 noon at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick.
