She was born Jan. 28, 1932 in Momence, Illinois, the daughter of William Ross and Hilder Theresa Carlson Funk. She attended Chenoa and Pontiac schools. She married Jim Kaiser on Nov. 24, 1951, at St. Mary's Church, Pontiac. He passed away Nov. 15, 2002.
They moved to Anchorage in 1955, where she worked in reservations for several west coast airlines, mainly Western Airline, for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her sister, Jean (Gene) Rarick, Minonk, Illinois; nephew, Brent Rarick, Pekin, Illinois; nieces, Shari (Bill) Hench, Sidney, Illinois; Sandra (Whitey) Hamilton, Cornell, Illinois; Debra (Rich) Schott, Pontiac,Illinois; half sisters and brothers, Donna (Jim) Snead, Chester (Lori) Funk, Everette (Sharon) Funk, Dorothy (Pete) Schnoor, all of Iowa, and Margery (Billie) Jackson, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Sara Barton and Catherine Thorndyke; brothers, William Funk, James Funk, and Ernest LeRoy Funk in infancy; half brothers, Jerry and Bob Funk; half sister, Theresa Funk and a beloved cat, Thomas I.
Delores also had two forever friends, Agnes Schram, Cullom, and Rosemary Whittaker, Anchorage, Alaska.
Delores always said, “Cats are my bag.” Her loves were family, friends and many four-footed friends — her cats. Delores was a cheerful person and could find humor in anything.
