Robert Donahue, 86, of Brockton, passed away on October 25, 2018, at his home in South Meadow Village, Carver. Born in Brockton, in 1932, he was the son of the late Patrick and Charlotte (Blood) Donahue. One of his first jobs was working in the shoe factories of Brockton. He later served in the Army for 3 years during the Korean War. After being discharged, he met his wife Joyce Margaret (Courtney) while he was a bus driver in Quincy. Bob and Joyce moved to Half Moon Bay, Calif., in 1962, where they were married and had twin daughters, Lisa and Laura. In 1975 they moved back to Massachusetts and opened their sub shop Bojo's. Bob's last job was in construction and he recently operated rides at the Edaville Family Theme Park. Bob and Joyce eventually retired to South Meadow Village in Carver, where they were both involved in community activities. Bob participated in many shows, was featured in the SMV calendar, and loved cooking for the annual SMV Thanksgiving dinner. Bob is survived by daughters, Lisa (husband Wesley), Laura (husband Timothy); and grandchildren, Timothy, Rebecca, Sean and Rose; as well as his brothers, Joseph of Middleboro and Patrick of Florida; and sister, Ann Hayes of Brockton. Bob was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Donahue, Charlotte "Sissy" Donahue, and Julia Chamberlain, and brother, Michael Donahue.
