John "Jack" C. Stech, 84, passed away on Saturday, October 27th at Artis Senior Living Center in Mason, Ohio. Jack was born on December 15th, 1933 in Donora, PA the son of Frank Stech and Etta (Ludwig) Stech. A native of Charleroi, PA he was a dedicated school teacher and principle as well as an avid traveler. He graduated from California State College (now California University of Pennsylvania) and then pursued a master's degree in elementary administration. After his undergraduate career, he was drafted by the U. S. Army and sent to Japan. He finished his service in 1958 and began to travel the world. Among his adventures, he visited Tanzania, China, Xian, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Russia. For his later years he found residence in Melbourne, Florida still visiting his sister in Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his sister Norma, who passed two days after him. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Association. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
