Passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday December 1, 2016 at the age of 77.
Born in Fisher Branch, Manitoba to Joseph and Marguerite Dondo, he lived most of his life in Niagara Falls. Emile was a strong and charismatic man with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong views which guided his life choices. He loved to watch old western movies, music and games that tested his mathematical wizardry.
While Emile came from humble beginnings, he worked hard to support his family and enjoyed many professional and personal triumphs. In 1959 Emile married his wife of 47 years, Aline Dondo who predeceased him in 2006.
He was a loving father to his daughters Janice Dondo (Alan Kinney) and Sherry Dondo (Roy Macdonald) and a cherished grandfather to Melissa, Brennan, Dylan, Jillian, Joe, Nicholas and Warren and great-grandfather to Liam. Emile always made sure his family knew that he loved them and that he would be there to support them no matter what life threw their way.
As the years passed, Emile's life of hard work took its toll on him. Always a strong and powerful man, his final years were very frustrating for him as his ailments reduced his physical ability. To his final days Emile found a way to charm those around him.
