Judy was born August 3, 1949 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Deulis Lorene (White) James and Stephen Ray James. She was raised in Pauls Valley and attended school in Pauls Valley. Judy O. James was married to George E. Hamilton, Sr. in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on November 4, 1966. She worked as a House Keeper at the Pauls Valley State School and later at the Paoli Schools. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Pauls Valley. Pauls Valley has been her home all her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Ray and Deulis L. James; three infant children, little boy on in 1972, Sanjay in 1974 and Jason Lee in 1977; four sisters, Manada Whistrand, Sharon McLaughlin, Connie Avery, and Shirley Johnson; and three brothers, Marcus James, Charles James and Ethridge James.
Her surviving family include her husband of nearly 52 years, George E. Hamilton, Sr., of the home; two sons, George E. Hamilton, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Lindsay; and Marcus J. Hamilton and wife, Valerie, of Pauls Valley; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one on the way, an uncle, Johnny Ray White of Byars; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
