COLLINS - George Ira Ashley, 76, of RFD 4, Collins, died Thursday morning at Covington County Hospital.
The time for the funeral has not been yet pending the arrival of a son from Alaska. Services will be at Blakeney Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Sullivan, Rev. Byron Hamilton and a Reverend Driscoll officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ashley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Sellers Ashley; four daughters, Mrs. Hettie Ponder, Mrs. Dessie Geriner, both of Mt. Olive; Mrs. Allie Tucker of Clarkston, Ky; Mrs. Lexie Mills of Biloxi; three sons, L. H. Ashley of Columbia; Benton of Collins; and Hoy of Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
