He was the son of Elmer and Joy (Chivington) Linton. On May 4, 1968, he married Linda Ann Stauffer, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are a daughter, Penny (Jim Watson) Linton, Wapakoneta; a son, Larry (Emily) Linton, Santa Barbara, CA;a sister, Elizabeth (Gary( Moorman, Tipp City; and four granddaughters.

A 1960 graduate of Celina High School, he served his country in the United States Army National Guard. A farmer and cabinet maker, he was a member of the Celina First Church of God. He cared for his family and was a generous Man.
Services will be held at the Celina First Church of God, with Rev. Craig Flack officiating. Burial will follow in the Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
