A US Navy veteran, he loved being on the water, whether it be the open sea or a peaceful lake. He was a dedicated worker – from grade school paper boy to a career in commercial refrigeration manufacturing and safety. Gary's passions included baseball – be it on the diamond or behind the plate as an umpire – and golf. He belonged to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, an infant brother and sister and his first wife, Judie.
A Catholic service will be held at a later date in Gary's home-state of Wisconsin.
