Karen L. Pope, 51, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, October 29, 2018 in Cheyenne.

She was born on June 8, 1967 in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a loving mother and wife devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to warm destinations, taking walks outdoors, sharing stories, riding bikes and the Wyoming mountains.

Karen was a graduate and valedictorian of Central High, received her BA in Spanish at the University of Wyoming and a Masters degree from the University of Northern Colorado. She was a dedicated Spanish teacher in Cheyenne schools for 26 years and truly enjoyed her work as she built strong bonds with both her students and colleagues.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Pope of Cheyenne; children, Quintin, Rachel, and Michael Pope, all of Cheyenne; parents, Dr. Thomas and Carol Toft of Cheyenne; and three brothers, Eric Toft of Germany, David Toft of Poland, and Mark Toft of Denver.
