Margie E. Norris, age 87, of San Angelo passed from this life on Sunday afternoon at San Angelo Community Medical Center.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the Talpa Cemetery pavilion, Talpa, Texas with burial to follow.

She was born May 19, 1931 in Ballinger, Texas the daughter of George Cecil Wheeler and Leona Lorine Cox Wheeler.

She was raised in Ballinger, attended school at Balllinger, and after her marriage to Barney Norris on January 11, 1950 in San Angelo, she resided most of her adult life in San Angelo where she was employed and retired from Ethicon.

She loved to crochet and sew and especially making dolls, garden, and bake. She loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Crawford and husband Alan of San Angelo, grandsons, Tim Crawford and wife Cheryl and Lee Crawford and wife Erica, granddaughter, Susan West, great-grandchildren, Katie and David, Nathan and Brayden, Kaitlyn and Michael and great-great grandchild, Ruby.

She is also survived by two sisters, Annie Mae Elizabeth Nicholsen and Rose Marie Henry and two brothers, Harley Samuel Wheeler and Henry Sylvester Wheeler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney, a son, Jimmy, and two brothers, David Andrew and George Franklin.
