Michael BRADY, 89 Years in City, Dies of Injuries – Struck by Taxi; Father of Two Fire Captains. - Michael E. Brady, known as one of the oldest native Chicagoans to live here all his life, died last night in the Edgewater hospital from injuries incurred Friday night when he was struck by a taxi cab. The accident occurred at Glenlake avenue and Broadway as Mr. Brady stepped from a safety island. Joseph White, 57 East 21st street, the driver, was not held. Mr. Brady, who was 89 years old. Lived at 1248 Norwood street. Surviving are his widow, Jane and six children, Capt. Arthur Brady of the fire department drill school; Edward, a retired fire captain; Bertrand, Cyril V., Mrs. Mary Devine, and Mrs. Catherine Aydt.
