Mrs. Barbara Pauly died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Smith in Carr Creek township, on Wednesday, Nov. 7th, 1928, at the age of 84 years, and was buried at Tipton on Friday, Nov. 9th, funeral services having been held at the Catholic church there. Mrs. Pauly was the widow of Jacob Pauly who died about 28 years ago, and had lived in this county 53 years, coming here with her husband and locating at Tipton, then known as "Pittsburg," in 1875. Later they came to the Cawker neighborhood for a year or two, but moved back to Tipton again. She is survived by five children. Mrs. V.A. Smith, Mrs. John Smith, Jacob, Peter and Nick Pauly.
