Jeanne Victoria Douglas, 89, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Hospice of Catawba Valley. She was born in Halifax County on Nov. 8, 1923, to the late Coy Nelson and Katie Langley Nelson. She was of Baptist faith.
She retired from Lenoir Furniture Corporation where she made many dear and lasting friends.
She is sur vived by her three children, Paula Douglas Hoff and husband Ed of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Michael Wayne Douglas and wife Cindy of Virginia Beach, Va., and Dr. H.E. Douglas Jr. and wife Michelle of Raleigh; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
