Sally Shultz Nelson, 70, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.

Sally was born March 26, 1948 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Donald Shultz and Margaret Hampton Shultz.

Sally graduated from Snake River High School.

She married Reed Nelson, they were blessed with two sons, Jeff and Shawn.

Sally has been a lifetime resident of Rockford, except for spending one year in Fort Hood, Texas where Reed was stationed.

Sally worked as a secretary for Snake River High School for 35 years. Sally was a professional high school sports fan. She kept stats for the Snake River Boys and Girls basketball team for over 30 years. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She liked playing Bunco and was very active in her community, serving on the library board. Sally was a staunch democrat who was very sad she couldn’t vote in this upcoming election.

Sally is survived of her husband of 51 years, Reed Nelson of Rockford; sons, Jeff Nelson of Rock Springs, WY and Shawn (Monica) Nelson of Firth; and three grandchildren, Bailey, Grayson, and Gabriel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Shultz; and brother, George Shultz.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. A viewing will be held prior to the service on Friday, November 2, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
