Eutaw Winford Horton, age 82, of Morrilton, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. He was born August 13, 1936 in Zack, Arkansas a son of the late Roy Horton and the late Alice Williams Horton. He started his career working for Roy Horton Chevrolet/Oldsmobile Dealership in Marshall. In 1971, he purchased the Chevrolet dealership in Morrilton. He received several awards throughout his career for the most sales in the Chevrolet Motor Division. After selling the Horton Chevrolet Dealership, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas and worked for D.R. Horton Homes, where he later retired in 1994. He then returned to central Arkansas, where he continued in home building. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morrilton. Eutaw was a private pilot and had a lifelong passion for flying.
Survivors include his wife: Wilma Jones Horton; four sons: Randy Horton and wife Traci of Bartonville, Texas, Jeff Horton of Lincoln, Illinois, Todd Horton and wife Jodi of Fort Worth, Texas, Eric Horton of Conway; two daughters: Holly Tramel and husband Gary of Morrilton, Mendy Dixon and husband Brian of Morrilton; 13 grandchildren: Natalie Horton, Payton Pierce, Austin Horton, Matthew Horton, Blaze Horton, Keifer Horton, Alex Horton, Cal Horton, Owen Horton, Shea Horton, Tara Nuckols, Shelby Dixon, Gracie Dixon; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Willis Horton and wife Glenda of Marshall, Leon Horton and wife Violet of Clarksville, Texas.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: T.J. Horton, Eugene Horton; and one sister: Kathleen Sanders.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Harris Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Huffman officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, at the funeral home.
