Edgar Thornton age 87 who made his home with his daughter Mrs. Joe Clark, died last Friday night was and (sic) taken to Reynolds in Jefferson County in charge of Undertaker Fosbury. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church at Reynolds.

Edgar Raymond Thornton, son of William Thornton. Married Lois J Bevington. They had 6 children: William Earl, Etta M, Elizabeth Emma, Henry, Lilly Myrtle, and Sylvia.
