Following her graduation from Rothville High School, Arlene spent most of her life as a secretary in the family's construction business and as a homemaker.
Of the Christian Faith, Arlene loved her family deeply. In her retirement, Arlene enjoyed traveling and shopping. She was a Sunday School teacher at the former St. John's Lutheran Church in Brickerville.
Arlene is survived by her two children: Cynthia (Glenn) Singer and Douglas (Karen) May all of Lititz; her four grandchildren: Ashley Garrett, Tara Myers, Mandy May and Alicia Singer and her three great-grandchildren: Jase Myers, Hunter Myers and Addison Garrett as well as several nieces. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Rodney Hilton.
Interment will take place at 12:30PM, Friday, November 2 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Cemetery, 319 Wabash Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Arlene's memory may be made to St. Jude's, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central PA, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
