David Hartford Sexton, 82, died Friday, October 26, 2018 while surrounded by his family. He born on December 13, 1935 in Lincoln County, KY to the late William and Lula Mae (Jenkins) Sexton. He grew up in Hopewell Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, KY and was currently an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lexington. He served his country proudly for 8 years in the National Guard. He was an artist, writer, farmer, and loved to square dance. David was also a 3-time cancer survivor. He was a loving man who adored his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson and gave freely his time to be with them. He and his wife, Brenda, were involved with Meals-On-Wheels at Trinity Baptist Church. David’s faith in the Lord and love for his family will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. David is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Sexton; daughter, Janice Hagman; son, Michael David (Donna) Sexton; step-daughter, Jennifer Wood; step-son, Larry Hume; grandchildren, Nicholas Hagman, Jaclyn (Michael) Bryant, Christopher Sexton, Chelsea, Harrison, Nicholas, Lance, and Anaston Wood; great-grandson, Asher Bryant; brother, James (Margaret Lee) Sexton, and son-in-law, John Hagman. Burial will be in Hopeful Baptist Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
