Scott D. Bell, 56, of Hanover, passed from this earth and stood in the unconditional, eternal love of God on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

Born on Sunday, January 7, 1962 in Hanover, he was a son of Charles O. and Donna Hoke Bell of Hanover and the husband of Peggy A. Stover Bell. A 1980 graduate of Hanover High School, he was employed by the Borough of Hanover for over 30 years. A collector and enthusiast of cars and trains, he was a longtime member of the Train Collectors Association and had a passion for restoring cars. He was a member of the McSherrystown Loyal Order of Moose #720, Hanover Republican Club, Hanover Home Association and AMVETS Post #22. Scott had a huge heart and deep love for many cats, dogs and small animals. He lived his life loving his family and friends and will be remembered for his gentle spirit and his contagious smile.

In addition to his parents and wife, Scott is survived by two brothers, Michael H. Bell and Jonathan M. Bell, both of Hanover; two nieces, Michaela Huppman and Emma Bell and one nephew, Zachary Bell; a great niece, Evelyn Huppman and one great nephew, Jaxon Bell. He is also survived by an aunt, uncles, cousins and numerous friends, including Jeff and John Wentz.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 12 to 3 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover with a prayer service being said at 3 PM. The burial will be held privately in Rest Haven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17323.
