Laura Jane King, 88, 0f Keyser, formerly of Westernport, Md., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at the Dawn View Center in Fort Ashby, W.Va.
Born on Jan. 16, 1930 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Garvey) Kalbaugh.
She also was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Charles "Dusty" and Glenn; and her sister, Marjorie Woods.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Laura graduated from Bruce High School in 1948. She worked in the shoe department at Sears for a number of years and retired from J.S. Raub Shoe Store in the Tri-Towns Plaza.
She also was a member of the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly in Keyser.
Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Charles J. King, Jr.; their children, Charles J. King, III and wife Kimberlie, Jarold R. King and wife Carol and Debra J. Bosley and husband Dick, all of Keyser; six grandchildren, Laurie, Erin, Clayton, Sarah, Kristi and Timothy; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor Donna Leatherman officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
