Peggy Sims, passed away on October 25, 2018 in Waller, Texas. Peggy was born on August 6, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to parents Patrick and Blanche McKenna. She married her high school sweetheart Randall Sims in 1966. Peggy started her life after high school attending Dallas Baptist College and pursuing the arts: painting, sculpting and owned her own ceramic and arts store in the Dallas area. She moved to Houston in 1978 with her husband and 2 children: Randall II and Alicia. After moving to Houston and to give her children a better opportunity she returned to school at the University of Houston where she received a degree in accounting. Upon graduating she studied and passed her Certified Public Accountant tests. Peggy worked as a CPA & Director of Finance until retiring. Some of her favorite memories was a trip to Ireland , and many other trips where she accompanied Randall on his business trips.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Diego. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Randall Sims: son Randall Sims II, daughter Alicia Mercado and husband Victor Mercado, grandchildren, Shelby Sims, Mattheas Mercado Sofia Mercado, Aidan Mercado, and Liam Mercado. She is survived by 5 siblings Patsy Sanders of Midlothian, Texas, Pat McKenna of Clarksville, Tennessee, William McKenna of Rendon, Texas, Jo Ann McKenna of Garland, Texas, and Mary McAdams of Rockwall, Texas.
Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, brother, and aunt. She was a truly giving and caring person that loved all people. Peggy was a devout Christian and served her lord at the Waller Baptist Church.
