Harvey Dean Burns, 82, of Macy, Indiana passed at 12:00 pm, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor of Warsaw, Indiana.

He was born on Nov. 25, 1935 Place of Birth: Perry Township, Miami County, Indiana to Claude L. and Marie (Tracy) Burns.

He married on June 3, 1956 in the Akron Brethren Church to M. Christine Hartman, she survives.

He was a farmer and worked in the Chili and Macy Elevators. He then worked and retired from Sealed Power Corporation.

He was a 1953 graduate of Gilead High School where he played basketball and softball. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Dean was always fond of John Deere Tractors and enjoyed collecting them for many years. He was an avid North Miami sports fan, especially boys and girls basketball. He also liked watching auto racing and even raced go-carts.
