Glenn Cecil White, 91, of Greeley passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Garden Square at Westlake. He was born April 13, 1927 in Koshopah, NE to Roy Asa and Mildred Esther (Peters) White. He spent his childhood in Nebraska, graduating from Broken Bow high school in 1946.

On February 18, 1948 he married his high school sweetheart, Lavona Mae Prescott at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Broken Bow, NE. They ranched in Purdum, NE until 1954 when they moved to Greeley and built a home where they lived for 59 years.

Glenn was a member of the Carpenter’s Union for 60 years and worked in residential and commercial construction. He volunteered at NCMC and RSVP, was a member of the UMC in Greeley for several years and most recently Generations Church (Greeley Wesleyan).

He enjoyed collecting antique tools at auctions and traveled extensively as a contractor.

Survivors include his two daughters, Jane (Terry) Herbst and Cheryl (Greg) Todd, 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavona on November 10, 2017; son, Randy and 6 brothers and sisters.

A Life Celebration service will be held to honor Glenn and Lavona at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
