Frank was the son of John and Susanna Lipski Nadolney from Germany-Poland. He married Rose Callaway on 26 October 1897 in Ironwood, and they had Basil (1900-1901), Romanus Frank (1910), Loretta M. (1913), Jerome J. (1914), Fidalia (1916) , Rose Marie (1904) a foster-daughter and an adopted daughter, Wielia (1894). Frank was a deputy sheriff. He committed suicide by hanging in a fit of temporary insanity at the age of 53 years 9 months and 21 days.
