He was a member of St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and sang in the Choir.
Josh as he was affectionately called by his family and friends attended the Savannah Chatham County Public Schools and was a graduate of Sophronia M. Tompkins High School Class of 1960.
He retired as a self employed contractor.
