She was a 1999 graduate of Marion High School and earned her associates degree in Dental Hygiene in 2009. She married Scebo King on May 24, 2004, in Cancun Mexico. She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr Michael Williams DDS in Blytheville, AR. Samantha loved her husband and family unconditionally. But she literally lived for their son and loved being a mom to him as he grew in to the fine young man, she knew he would be. She had an intoxicating smile and loved to show it. Her laugh was contagious as well as her bubbly and outgoing personality that so many grew addicted to. Sam was one of a kind. She was one of those you just wanted to be around. A truly real and beautiful person inside and out who touched the hearts of many. Though tiny in stature, her courage, her strength and her will to live, was much larger than any would expect. Samantha was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July 2016. And for over two years fought as hard as anyone could imagine and against all odds in which she earned the title “The Angel of 5 South” by the nursing staff who treated her. She passed peacefully with just her husband present and holding her as she took her last breath.
She is survived by her husband Scebo King, son Tanner King, her father Joe Blair and her sister Tabitha Strieder, all of Marion, Arkansas. Her Grandmother Polly Pruitt of West Memphis Arkansas, 1 niece 2 nephews and many uncles, aunts and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Lyn Pruitt Blair.
