He was a 1949 graduate of Clear Spring High School. Wayne retired from Mack Trucks, Inc. in Hagerstown as a Senior Control Clerk, after 13 years and was also the office chairman of Local Union #1247 for 9 years at Mack Truck. He was a member of Mooresville Church of God in Big Pool and a lifetime member of the Western Maryland Sportsman Club and the Mercersburg Sportsman Club.
Wayne is survived by a son, Randy Mills; grandson, David W. Mills; granddaughter, Theresa J. Bechtel; great-granddaughter, Lena; sister, Regina Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Lena Tavenner, Catherine Canard, Eleanor Grey, Margaret Northern, Reba Atherton, and Patricia Crouse and 4 brothers, John Mills, Albert Mills, Robert Mills, and Harry E. Mills.
Services will be held privately at the request of the family.
