Shanna Lee Henderson peacefully slipped away at home Monday, October 22nd, 2018 surrounded by her children.

Shanna was born on August 22nd, 1950, to Elaine Berrett and Darrell Williams in Ogden, Utah. She was the youngest of 3, the kid sister to Jeff and Rick. Shanna always wished for a sister. In 2007, Shanna got her wish. Rick was contacted by an agency advising them a Jane Wallace from Holladay, Utah, was looking for her birth family. Elaine Berrett had given Jane up for adoption in 1945. Shanna and her brothers contacted Jane and her family, which have become a great addition to the family.

Growing up Shanna enjoyed playing with friends, many of whom were cousins. While attending Weber High School, she played softball and was on the drill team.

Shanna attended Weber State College where she met Scott Nelson. Shanna and Scott were later married in the Ogden Temple on September 5th, 1969. They welcomed 3 children to their family but later divorced. She later met Robert Alan Henderson (Al), and the two married in the Jordan River Temple on July 23rd, 1985. A year later, Shanna and Al added another boy to the family. Al later passed away in 2001.

Shanna always wanted to be a mom and was entirely devoted to role as a mother. She was a nurturer, patient, and always encouraged her children to follow their interests.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings and is often fondly remembered by the various young women she has led over the years.

Shanna had many talents and interests. She enjoyed reading, drawing, writing calligraphy, painting, cross-stitching, crocheting, and assembling puzzles. She also loved to ski and play the piano.

Shanna loved watching and supporting her grandchildren in sports and performances. She was so proud of all her children and grandchildren. She often spoke about how well her children turned out.

Shanna leaves behind a son, Matthew S. Nelson (Heather), daughter Angela E. Applegate (Derek), daughter Allison Moss (Steve), son Darrell C. Henderson (Becca), 5 grandchildren, sister Jane Wallace (John), brother Jeffrey D. Williams (Annette), brother Rick B. Williams (Beth Ann), and many loved nieces and nephews.
