80-year-old Albion, IL, resident Robert Don Bunting died Friday, October 19, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburg, Indiana.

Robert was the son of Alvin Lee and Mary Margaret (Headlee) Bunting, born April 2, 1938 in Albion, Illinois.

He worked in local grocery stores and theaters when in high school; after high school he went to electronics school in Chicago, and then worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, IL. He moved back to Albion in 1961, working in the oilfields, shoe factory, Spartan, before accepting a job at Snap on Tools in Mt. Carmel, IL where he worked as a tool assembler for 34 years. He retired in 2000 for health reasons. He was a member of the Albion Moose.

Survivors include a son- Carl Edward Bunting- Robards, Kentucky; two daughters- Patricia Spareacino of Martinsville, Illinois and Donna Wardrip of Albion, Illinois, seven grandchildren, Wesley, Jennifer, Shaelynn, Joseph, Mariah, Chelsea, and Robby, and six great-grandchildren.

The body is to be cremated with a private graveside service to be held at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son.
