Connie was born on September 21, 1941 in Fond du Lac to the late Leo and Elaine Morgan Scannell. She graduated from Goodrich High School with the class of 1959. On May 13, 1961, Connie married James F. Kalupy at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2004. Connie worked at Meadow Lanes and Meadow Links for many years until her retirement. She was a very talented quilter and enjoyed arts and crafts. Connie loved her country, was very patriotic, and had an appreciation for her Irish heritage. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, reading, watching the Packers, and spending time with family and friends - especially her grandchildren. Connie was a very kind, caring and loving person that would do anything for her family and friends.
Survivors include Connie's two daughters, Colleen (Craig) Marusich, El Paso, TX; and Erin (Pete) Garcia, Naples, FL; four grandchildren, Alexandra "Alex", Hailey, Emily and Evan; two great grandchildren, Malia and Hunter; sister, Judy (Bud) Michels, Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Barb Kalupy, Naples, FL; stepmother, Betty Scannell, Fond du Lac; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Elaine Scannell, husband, James F. Kalupy; son, Terrance "Terry" Kalupy; and daughter, Kathleen "Katie" Kalupy.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to take place at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
