Glover "Junior" Oatman, Jr, age 90, of Williamsfield, OH passed away at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, OH. He was born in Miles Heights, OH a son of Glover Sr. and Sally Mae (Watson) Oatman. He was a resident of Williamsfield for the past 3 years. He was formerly of Middlefield, OH. He was taught at a very early age to earn his living "by the sweat of the brow." Starting out at his uncle's grocery store as a stockboy and "whatever else I tell you to do" in the evenings after school and on Saturdays and Sundays for a hefty sum of 50 to 75 cents per week when business was good, then later for as much as a dollar. He worked as an ice and coal delivery man for his dad. He then went into construction as a bricklayer and in 1951 was blessed with a job as a Quality Control employee of B.F. Goodrich where he retired in 1992. He committed his life to God at an early age. He was baptized in 1954 at Canaan Baptist Church. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Middlefield for many years where he served on the Stephens Ministry and enjoyed other volunteer work. He had a sweet tooth and loved honey buns and oatmeal cream pies; and he loved to watch the news on television. He married Charlotte A. Oatman on May 31, 1991 and she passed away on July 2, 2014. He was also preceded by his parents. He leaves behind 4 daughters, 1 son, 1 son in law, 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
